In my holidayz...

Im doing that homework (post below) and i also went 2 c my g. granda in Felixstowe, Suffolk.

She iz 92 years old and can hardly walk, my auntie and uncle look after her and a couple of careers visit daily to help her dress.

Obviously 365 days a year is a bit much to be looking after her, so we sent our relatives packing to a holiday and we looked after her for the week.

I made a smashing lemon flan, we walked on he beach, we went shopping, we had some younger friends over for an easter egg hunt etc. etc. etc. and i was so wonderful to see her everyday.

I haven't been updating this regularly enough so that is the short version of why.

Hi Everyone!

My Birthday was amazing!
My parants got mea camera and my sis got me an adopt a tiger.

The parT waz klklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklklk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nearly everyone came and we had so much fun doing dancing, kareoke and eating WAY too much food!
I got loadz of luvli prezzies and £150 in total! I bought a red ipod nano and a kl armband acessorie 4 it. Not too mention bucket loads of chocolate from everone - i have hardly made a dent in the heap even after 2 weeks!

My grandma gave me my fave book collection which i am working my way through and my nana and grandpa gave me more chocolate (lol!) and a scarf.

Hi Peepz!

I had a gr8 time at jessica and joshuaz party last night!

Joshz m8z were in the games room watching some stone age murder -ug-i-kill-mamoth-ug-ug film while jess and the girls watched St Trinians. We had so much fun!

In the girls room, we had Me, Liz, Jess, Nadine, Jasmine and Ruth.
in the boys room, we had Josh, Tom, Dan, James, Bolo and Joshes D

Lizzie brought the popcorn maker and made a huge bowl of suger sweet popcorn which she practically ate all of.
I practically had all the Salt and Vinegar Pringles. Jess had all the grapes and Ruth nibbled everything. Good old sensible Nadi and Jazz!

We took phots and i will upload them on a new post when Jo (jess ansd joshes mum) sends me them.

Soz everybody.
I haven't had my username and password 4 over 3 months so i am waaaaayyyyyyyyy behind on telling you all stuff. I am going to try and catch up the best i can over a few days and then keep you updated for a few weeks.

So far, i have changed the look of my homepage (my fave colours!!!), added a load of games (bottom) and voting systems (right, soz if they don't work!).

My friends Abz and Emily were born on the same day, so i went to their partyz.

Hi again!

Also on my holiday in London my family and I went on the Duck Tour of London.
Sounds weird doesn't it? I mean, who could ride on a Duck?
Actually a Duck is a huge type bus thing that has the bottom of a boat with wheels on it. Hard to imagine, that's why I got the pictures!

'Ducks' originate from the war when England went to France to fight the Germans off . Some troops went in the air, and others across the English Channel using Ducks. (The tour bus not the animal and by the way, about the war, we one!)

It was really exiting getting on the duck because it seemed so high up above the road! The tour guide was called Tracy and she was really nice and funny. I learnt so much.

Did you know that if the front hoof of a statue of a horse and rider in London is raised, the rider was wounded in battle and if both front hooves are raised the rider was killed in battle?

The best bit by far was when we drove into the water! Then I knew what the Duck was so big for; if it had been any smaller the Thames River water would be flooding onto our laps!

It was so much fun and unbelievably cool!
I reckomend it even more than the London Eye!!

Hi! Holly Here. As you have probably guessed, on my holiday I went on the London Eye! It was soooo cool!!

We got our tickets punched and we even had to be security checked before we got on.

Did you know that the London eye is always moving and it never stops? Even though the people have to get on! We had to jump over a drop to get into our pod. Scary!

The walls are made of glass in the pod and it sometimes felt like we were going to fall into the Thames!
I reckon I could see the other side of London we were so high.
We saw St. James Park, Buckingham Palace, the Foreign Office were Dad works and, well, everything!

It was so exiting being at the top! I would recommend it to ANYONE!

Last week Mum and Dad drove in their Mark IX Jaguar across Europe to Switzerland.

The car is soooooo cool!
It has 6 seats, secret cupboards, fold-out trays and the best part is, no seatbelts!!!

It has 2 petrol tanks and plenty of room. The seats are much lower than the bonnet, and mum has to sit on a cushion to see were she is driving!

While they were on their road trip, me and my sister, Bethany, were at our Grandma's house. I will tell you about that in my next post.

It was sad to leave Sutton Pointz but we will go there again.

HOME AGAIN!!!

Hi guyz!

Back from Holiday!
Let me tell ya about it...

We had a KILLER TRAFFIC-FILLED JOURNEY there and i just about survived.
We were staying in a cottage in Sutton Pointz* near Waymouth.
We were up a little lane and 20 second walk from this large-pond small-lake thing that had over 30 ducks. They craved the bread we fed them every morning!

Me and my sis Bethany shared a small room next to the kitchen and Mum and Dad had the whole loft to themselves. There was also a utility room** and a lounge with a really low ceiling! Oh dear, dad!
(p.s, may i say we had no computer or tv!)

On my next post i will say what we did!

* It is actually spelt with a z! The village itself is over 1000 years old! (Don't worry the people arn't!)

** Shower and loo!

Big Wild Read!

Calling all bookworms!
Go to your local library now and ask about THE BIG WILD READ!

Every year, all the libraries set a reading challenge with a different theme during the summer holidays.

You must read 6 books and tell a member of the library about it.
Then you get a fold out journal (using the theme) which you can collect stickers and activity sheets for. This year, you can get scratch and sniff stickers, (including the smelly trainers.Pooey!) Packets of seeds and for each book you read you can collect tree tokens so a new tree can be planted in the forests.

When you have completed the challenge, you get a special designed medal and a certificate that is handed out at your school.

I have already read 3 books and am also going down to the library today to collect my journal and stickers.

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!

The ACTUAL summer as so TOTALLY ACTUALLY arrived OFFICIALY today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can you believe it? I can't!

In my school this week we have been having a sort of leavers week with barbeques,parties, games, , discos and...
MILLIONS CATRILIONS ILLILLILLIONS GODZILLIONSIONIONIONS OF SWEETS!

The year 6's brought in a school shirt each to have other children write on as a memory of Giffards.
They wore them afterwards and they looked like living works of art!

My friend Nicole came round afterwards and we started writing down our class friends names all over a shirt from my wardrobe!
She also gave me a sorry-to-leave-you-present, a friendship photo frame.
We had our pictures taken in the garden for the frame.

Then my Grandma came over with a HUGE pack of chocolates! Being chocaholics, we couldn't resist the oppotunity and filmed ourselves scoffing the lot! (I still feel sick after a weeks worth of sweets!!!)

We fiddled around with my video camera making miny comedy acts and, can I tell you, it was fuuuuuny!

She even stayed over for tea with us all before she left.

I have lots planned for the holidays but what are YOU doing? Anything special?

My Dad was on the radio a few weeks ago!
He went on Premier Radio station to talk about his new book.

Premier Radio has a number of programmes including Frost on Sunday; named after the interviewer, Rob Frost. That was the programme dad went on.

Dad told me all about it . . .

He got there really early so he had a bit of time to wait.
The man who was interviewing him, Rob Frost, was in a bit of a fluster.

The radio room was the size of a kitchen. (without the pots, pans, cupboards, etc.)
The door was in the corner of the room and the end of the table was against the wall with spinning desk chairs all around it.

Hanging from the ceiling were three or four microphones, like the squeezy red noses, on the end of spring-like-zigzag wires. Everyone wore headphones as well.

Dad was on air for 2 hours talking about a variety of subjects,mostly from the news that day, hardly anything about the book!

He met lots of new people from a politician, to a female kick boxer, to a writer like him!

After the show Rob Frost bought everyone brunch. (Not breakfast, not lunch but in a time between those two meals.) This gave everyone a chance to talk about the discussions on air in the studio, and fill their bellies! He ate a whopping full English breakfast totaling of 2 slices of buttered toast, baked beans, fried mushrooms, 2 slices of bacon, 1 sausage, 2 fried eggs, chips and a cup of tea; no wonder he wasn't hungry!

Bullying Advice

Are you being bullied?
Do you know anyone that is getting bullied?
Here are some top tips and great advice I have collected.

· Tell a teacher or an you can trust. Tell them clearly about what is happening one step at a time. It really works.
· If you are getting bullied on the way home from school, either get an to walk home with you, walk with a friend or go home another route.
· Sometimes silence is better than giving an answer. If you stay silent the bully may feel stupid and give up.
· Do not give in to the bullies. Instead of making it better it makes the problem worse.
· Bullies may try to pretend they are your friend. Don’t listen to them because it is not true and they will cause a lot of trouble.
· If the bully is in your class or table arrange with a teacher for one of you to move.
· Don’t change your personality or attitude. Some people pick on you no matter how hard you try to fit in.

Try out some of these solutions and tell someone you trust how you get on.

I have been picked on before and these are some of the things I have done to stop the bullies.

It's party time!

On 30th March I am going to be 10 years old!

I will be having a sleepover witha few friends, games and a trip to Lakeside to do some shoppin'!

There is only going to be a few people coming, my friends I have known my whole life, Lizzie, Jessica and Nadine.

It is going to be a kind of reunion as we haven't all met for a long time.

We will have a special blog post all about what is happening when it happens.

Book Fever

I am writing a book!

I have always loved to read books and I have always wanted to write one like my dad.

His book is called 'The Lord Of The Ring'.

One of my favourite authors is Terry Pratchett.

My story is about a called Daisy and she has 2 not so nice friends called Roxy and Lexy.

She writes in her diary a lot about the things they have done to her and her thoughts, feelings and ideas.

She has a lousy job on the school magazine and she isn't very popular.

They make her life a misery but she soon finds a new friend and she gains confidents.

She soon after exposes them for the bullies they are, lands a boyfriend, lands a new best friend Lorraine and gets a better job on the magazine.

I am really exited about the book but there is just one problem. The Name.

I need a good eyecatching title to go with a great book.

I thought 'Daisy's Dillema Diary' would be good.

It has arrived at last!

Our church is doing a project called 24-7 prayer; that means we all take in turns going there to pray. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

It is really good fun because all the rooms have something to do in them. There is a youth room, a room about countrys over the world, a dream zone room and a prayer room with paints and pens to do pictures and writing on the large paper on the walls!

The kitchen has food in there like biscuits and things just in case you get peckish!

Mum is back from India.
She went with a women called Sally.

They went to Chennai South East India to see the tailoring schools, went to the biggest wedding with over 1,000 guests and I am sure she would love to tell you about it all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

How is everyone?

Say, were you up at 12 o'clock that night?

I was. We went to our friends the Greig family's house for new year.

IT WAS ABSOLOUTLY HUMUNGUS!

That night we each wrote prayers to jesus about us in the new year and them we read them out, put them in the fire and them up the chimney they go.

(that isn't the onley way God could have read them though,) ((Yes, Jesus can read aswell))

Some of the younger ones and some that prefered to, drew pictures for God instead of words.

I wrote a prayer.

When all the children were in bed, I told Beth ( my sister ) two stories and when I had Finished the last one I heard 5,4,3,2,1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I burst out of bed and shouted HAPPY NEW YEAR! aswell.

Me and Beth ran to the boys room, switched the light on full strength and woke them all up!

We all ran downstairs to watch the fireworks on telli.

The were magnificent. They twisted and twirled off and around the London Eye and it was very noisy!

Hi everyone!
Merry Christmas!

What did you get for christmas?

I got a Nintendo Game Boy Advanced SP and three games to go with it!
PAC-MAN, Pocket Dogs and Super Mario party world advanced!
My sister got one too but with different games.

I also got the book WINGS by Terry Pratchett from my Dad.
I haven't finished it yet, but it is really good! I love it!
Between some of my relatives, I got Blue Peter annual 2007, A 'Natural world' book, Shakspeare collection for kidz, Angels and Horrid Heny's Christmas Cracker!

As you can tell I love to read.

I got LOADS and LOADS of GOOI, STICKY YUMMY CHOCOLATE.
(its always good to get chocolate at christmas)
I also got £15!

I got a lovely bracelet from my sister bethany and a funky belt from Mum!

I loved ALL the presents I got.

1. Male TURKEYS are toms, females are hens and baby TURKEYS are called poults.
2.TURKEYS were first tamed 1,000 years ago by Native Americans.
3.The red bit on a TURKEY (that hangs from the neck and face) is called the wattle.
4.TURKEYS are actually a type of pheasant. There are 48 species of pheasent.
5.TURKEYS possibly could have been called TURKEYS because they were wrongly thought to have come from TURKEY the country! They are actually from North America.

So that's what you really put in your mouth at christmas dinner!

PERFORMANCE

I had a wicked time at Gable Hall!
All the performers went in the gym including my group.

There were two shows infront of the parents.
On the first one, when the curtains were drawn on the act before us,
the lighting behind the curtain was still on. So we all ran across the stage into the wings,

then the lights went out.

We were fumbling and bumping and feeling our way across the stage making sucha racket it would have given an elephant ear ache for a week!

It was really scary being on stage but it was probably the butterflys cooling down in my tummy!
I had such a great time!

CHRISTMAS TIME 2006!

As I mentioned in another post, I am doing a christmas performance with my dance club. I am also doing a nativity thing at my school. Year 3/4 are doing the christmas tree-snowman-father christmas side of christmas while year 5/6 are doing the Jesus,Mary and Joseph true story of christmas.
In our house we have a REAL christmas tree and lots of lights. To set the seen we have a real (roaring) fire.
Now that makes a christmas card!
From indoors to outdoors, on our house we have a star. It is on the front, right in the very middle. It is such a pretty christmas light.
A few roads away from us, there is a house that is COMPLEATLY AND UTTERLY COVERED IN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!

DANCE TO THE MUSIC!

I wake up really early in the morning and go to school for dance club!
We are doing a Christmas show at Gable Hall (the MAHOOSIVE local senior school)
with other pupils from Gable. I am so so so so so so so so so so exited, nervous, anxious and happy!

This man Known to all as the crocodile hunter, has been killed in a freak accident. While doing a diving documentary a sting ray came and attacked him. He was stung in the heart right through the chest. Though many doctors came with cosmetics and cures, they were to late and could not save him.

It is my birthday this morning and i have got this blog as a present. It is brilliant!
